Is open to hockey and figure skaters. Skaters earn ribbons or patches at the end of every eight-week session. Skating professionals instruct all classes

Little Angels

This program is for skaters ages 18 months to six years and is very child centered.The children will be introduced to skating using fun and innovative teaching techniques and will be engaged in both on and off ice activities. They will be grouped according to age and ability. Students will earn a ribbon at the end of each session. Skaters need to have mittens, skates, and a helmet. (No double runners please.) Skating professionals instruct all classes.

Wed 1pm-2pm, Thurs 10am-11am, or 1pm-2pm

Private and semi private lessons

Golden Blades and Flagg Pond both offer ice Monday thru Saturday.
All skaters with a current ISI or USFSA number are welcome to skate with us


Jr Club

The Golden Blades Jr. Club is open to any of our learn to skaters who have successfully passed the ISI Pre-Alpha test or higher. This is a unique opportunity for skaters to receive semi private instruction, at an introductory rate.

Skaters will be introduced to skating a freestyle program to music. A member of The Golden Blades professional staff will provide instruction.

The Golden Blades Jr. Club is a stepping stone into the full club and is meant to encourage skaters to become full members for the next skating season. Skaters may participate in this program once.

If you would like to continue private or semi private lessons please speak directly to the coach that you have been working with.


*Jump and Spin Teams
Description:

A Jump and Spin team consists of two skaters from the same category level, but do not have to be the same test level. Skaters may skate above, but cannot skate below a test level category.

One team of two skaters enters the ice and stops. The first skater begins and performs the same jump two times. After the second attempt the first skater stops. The second skater then begins to perform the same spin two times. After the second attempt, the second skater stops. Both skaters can bow and exit the ice together.

Category levels :
Low = Pre-alpha – Delta
Medium = Freestyle 1 – 3
Intermediate = Freestyle 4 – 5
High= Freestyle 6 - 10

Maneuvers list:
Low Medium

Jump: two-foot hop or bunny hop ½ flip or toe loop jump
Spin: two-foot spin two-foot or one-foot spin

Intermediate High

Jump: loop or axel jump double salchow or double loop Spin: sit spin or back spin flying camel or flying sit spin

* This is a great way to introduce your learn to skaters to ISI competitions


Currently we have six synchronized skating teams.

Golden Ice is a teen skate team.

This team will practice on Tuesdays from 5-5:50 pm.

 

Golden Angels is a youth skate team.

This team will practice on Fridays from 4:00-4:45.

This team is made up of skaters who are freestyle 3 or higher.

Golden Sparks is a youth formation team.

This team will practice on Tuesdays from
4:40-5:00..

 

Golden Stars is a synchronized youth formation team.

This team will practice on Saturday mornings.

Ice Angels is a synchronized youth formation team.

This team will practice on Saturday mornings.

Ice Princesses, is a tots formation team consisting of tots ages 3-6 years at the pre alpha/alpha level.

This team will practice on Saturday mornings.
