I’m writing to request your support as I prepare for the 2008 Pan Mass Challenge.
The Pan-Massachusetts Challenge raises money for life-saving cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through an annual bike-a-thon that crosses the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Last year the PMC presented the Jimmy Fund with a check for 33 million dollars! This year’s goal is 34 million. 100% of all money raised by the cyclist will be presented to the Jimmy Fund later this fall.

This ride is a very moving experience and the highlight of my summer. Like so many others, Cancer has touched my life. My wife Annemarie has battled Cancer and last year I dedicated my ride to our friend Brittany Mason as she battled through very aggressive Cancer treatments. I’m happy to report that all is well with Brittany and Annemarie, and they were both there for me as I completed my ride from Sturbridge to Bourne.

I recently saw a powerful slogan from Lance Armstrong’s Cancer Foundation. It simply states “Hate Cancer Back”. That statement really hit’s home and gives me the motivation to work hard and prepare for such a worthy cause. The PMC brings people from all walks of lives together for one weekend in August, with a unified goal~ hating Cancer back. One mile at a time.

So please- help me do my part. It’s my absolute privilege and honor to ride for you and for all those that have fought the good fight.
